I was first introduced to Chris Lee in January 2009. I was looking to tone up, especially after the Christmas period. Chris was very attentive in our first meeting, he spent a lot of time asking me questions about my lifestyle and my aims, he measured me, and talked me through what our sessions would contain taking into consideration the end result I wanted.
I must admit I was a bit dubious to start with as I had several personal training sessions with trainers through my club and I wasn't seeing any results through them. But I thought I would give personal training one last attempt through Chris and to be honest it's the best thing I did!
I have been a member of a gym for around 18 months and was averaging around 2 visits a week, before I started my weekly sessions with Chris I was going to the gym just for the sake of going, now I attend as there is a purpose to the visits. My first session with Chris was incredibly hard (to me anyway!) but as soon as I walked out of the gym I felt better already, I felt I had really worked my body. As our sessions continued I was beginning to notice a change in my body. Everything started to become a lot more toned. I actually began to enjoy going to the gym by myself, I now go around 4-5 times a week and put a 100% effort in, unlike the times BC (Before Chris) Chris also helped target areas of fitness I wasn't so keen on trying, like running. Before I started my sessions with him I wouldn't even step on a treadmill, and with Chris' help and expertise 2010 will see me run a half marathon.
Chris Lee has also just recently introduced me to weights, something I would have never considered if I was training by myself. I have learnt that doing weights has contributed to how toned and healthy I feel, a factor that I have learnt that goes hand in hand with cardio work. Chris always explains what each weight does and what area it targets and is always encouraging which is great.
7 months down the line I feel healthier, better and fitter. I can only put this down to the way Chris has changed my outlook on health and fitness as a whole, and for that I am grateful. He is a great trainer, an absolute credit to the health and fitness industry and I would personally recommend him to anyone who was looking for a Personal Trainer.
