At Trojan Training we see the benefits of exercise and sport every single day. It improves our general health, builds confidence and self-esteem, allows us to meet new people and have lots of fun. That is why charities like WAMDSAD are so important. This fantastic charitable organisation helps disabled people get involved in sport. One of their key objectives is to promote awareness of disability through sport and recreation and particularly the integration of disabled and able-bodied people.
The charity provides sport and leisure opportunities and facilities to the physically and sensorially disabled. It has a purpose-built clubhouse in Maidenhead, Berkshire, with approximately 700 members, Whether people just want to do sport to have fun and keep fit or to compete at Paralympic level, WAMDSAD offers help and support. It is one of the top clubs of its kind in the country.
And this is what we will be thinking about when we are on the start line for Tough Guy 2010. This is the world's safest most dangerous taste of mental physical pain endurance toughest events. Tough Guy will always be a physically challenging, mentally demanding, fear inducing, visual spectacular. It requires plenty of training and a brave person to face the challenge in the winter months! But Trojan Training has a real reason to complete it as we are aiming to raise £1,000 for WAMDSAD and we need your help in doing this.

Listen to clips of Chris & Dan on BBC Radio Berkshire:
Hairdressers are not necessarily known for their tough guy image - but Daniel Kielty from Maidenhead's changing all that. He's just competed in Tough Guy 2009 - a competition which it's claimed has the world's toughest assaut course. Yesterday he joined Sarah Walker in the studio along with his personal trainer Chris and Sarah asked Chris if he had even taken part…
Sarah also asked Chris and Dan how far some people would push themselves to succeed in the competition..
