5 Week Bootcamp with Trojan

Without a doubt the five week bootcamp model is my favourite.

Why I hear you ask?

Well it’s simple really it provides what most of us need and that is consistency over time. A one day bootcamp is great fun and can really boost your existing workout, but let’s be honest we have all struggled for the motivation to keep the training regime going and it takes peaks and troughs in line with our lives.

When the group sign up to the 5 Saturdays it sets them a short term goal of keeping their training and lifestyle in check for those five weeks, and I regularly find people start planning their timetable around their exercise in order to keep things on track.

Also because its 5 weeks I get to know the group really well and watch them develop in their fitness but more importantly develop as a team unit and find them working better and better together as they move through the weeks.

It provides a natural support network and regularly members of the group arrange to meet up in the week for an extra run or workout to support each other.

For me that’s what Bootcamp should be about which is why as an ex-military fitness instructor I just can’t get my head round why civilian instructors have hitched a ride on the back of the word and started doing 45 minute bootcamps???? Surely if its only 45 minutes its nothing more than a circuit or standard exercise class??? Or is that just me??
